My friend and I used to tutor these two little boys from Korea whose parents were working at FSU.
One day, the kid she tutored said that Black people were stupid and dumb.
And she said, “That’s not a nice thing to say. Cheridan is Black, do you think she’s dumb and stupid?”
and he said, “No, not her, she’s not.”
And she got him to apologize and told him that what he said was wrong and terrible, but it still hurt.
